Welcome to ‘The World of Stories’
Story Telling
The storytelling classess held at The Story Monkey are highly interactive, fun filled and high energy.
Aashima uses various performing art forms to narrate a story. At times she reads to them, at times she uses puppets, props or sometimes she just enacts it out to them. Every storytelling class is a completely different experience.
Role Play
Through incorporating role play in the art of storytelling, The Story Monkey aims at bringing out a child’s unique style
of self expression. When children do role plays, they naturally become someone or something else. Role play stimulates their imagination and enhances their social development, encourages friendship through cooperation, listening and turn taking.
Why Stories
“The best way to teach people is by telling a story”
– Kenneth Blanchard
Stories are how we learn and the best way to understand our world. These storytelling workshops help the child become socially confident and develop a sound vocabulary, while giving them a good command over the English language.
All our learning is done through stories and role play, as we truly believe that the stories make the lesson learnt very powerful and life-long. We feel that storytelling is one of the greatest contributors in an overall personality development of our children. We believe starting early makes 20 times more impact, as a child’s brain is yet to learn how to multi-task, hence more focused and ready to absorb. From class room to board room, its all about storytelling, be it a fairy-tale or a sales pitch.
What we do
The Story Monkey is a cute corner where every kids’ imagination finds expressions. We take the kids into a jungle full of stories, where the kids are encouraged to dream, imagine and cultivate a sense of wonder. We make learning fun for kids, and we also nurture every child’s creativity, develop oratory skills and out-of-the-box thinking through various creative, critical thinking and public speaking activities.
The workshops at The Story Monkey are tailor made for each age group as per the children’s developmental needs, with activities designed to teach them something new in every session.
It is interesting to see how every child gets hooked on to stories at this cute little reading corner.

Story time. Grow time
